My research interests are primarily implementation and quality improvement, and I am interested in how different methods or tools to improve quality of care are most effectively implemented into practice. I have several years of experience working with clinical quality registries and with patient-reported outcome measures (PRO), both in practice and research.

Stilling og arbejdsplads:

Lektor og seniorkonsulent v. REHPA, Videncenter for Rehabilitering og Palliation, Odense Universitetshospital og Syddansk Universitet

Uddannelsesbaggrund:

Kandidat i folkesundhedsvidenskab, Ph.d.

My scientific area of interest is implementation research. I am working on developing methods that can ensure that evidence-based knowledge and clinical innovations are transferred into daily clinical practice. Including systematically screening for determinants across multiple levels of context and organizations. Hereby, develop and apply implementation strategies that overcome these barriers and enhance the identified facilitators to increase the uptake of evidence-based knowledge and clinical innovations. I am working with qualitative methods, for example; ethnography field studies and cultural analysis that form the basis analysis for understanding the local culture and context.

Stilling og arbejdsplads:

Seniorkonsulent og lektor i Implementeringsforskning, Klinisk Forskningsafdeling, Hvidovre Universitetshospital og Institut for Sundhed og Social Kontekst, Nationalt Institut for Folkesundhed, Syddansk Universitet

Uddannelsesbaggrund:

MScN (sygepleje), cand. cur., Ph.d.

During may Master’s education I studied project management of organizational change processes at CBS. This was followed by several years of employment as a development consultant in the Copenhagen Hospital Corporation. On that background I developed an interest in what makes implementation processes “work”. Many times – even though knowledge existed, or the suggested new organizing models and concepts seemed relevant, they turned out to be difficult to implement. This led to a PhD study focusing on how to understand and theorize implementation processes related to the implementation of “Clinical Pathways” in hospitals as “translation processes”. Later I went on to a research position at Roskilde University where I have done research in organizational change processes of different kinds (policy-implementation, institutional change, service-innovation, approaches to design, IT-development, introduction of stakeholder management and CSR concepts). Over the years I have studied different research streams with relevance to implementation such as policy-implementation, implementation science, organizational translation studies and design approaches to development, as well as implementation and change in organizations. Some of my key contributions have been within organizational translation studies (Scheuer 2021, 2023) that may supplement implementation science with a process view on implementation processes.

Stilling og arbejdsplads:

Lektor, Institut for Samfundsvidenskab og Erhverv, Roskilde Universitet

Uddannelsesbaggrund:

Master of Science in International Business, PhD

My research focus is implementation science in interventions aimed towards patients with problematic alcohol- and/or substance use in somatic and psychiatric hospital settings. Currently, I examine cross-sectoral collaborations and staff-perceived barriers and facilitators towards a dual diagnosis coordination model. I work mainly qualitatively, and I am particularly interested in what happens at micro-levels when the implementation object meets clinical everyday practice.

Specialkonsulent, Det Nationale Forskningscenter for Arbejdsmiljø.

Uddannelsesbaggrund:

Antropolog fra Aarhus Universitet, sundhedsvidenskabelig ph.d.-grad fra Syddansk Universitet.

My implementation focus is on the intermediary position between implementation science and practice. I am interested in how implementation science can inform design of implementation processes and translate into practical implementation with a high quality. I have worked in intermediary organizations for the past 15 years, and been involved in international collaboration in the implementation science field, and development of The Danish Implementation Network. I currently work with implementation design, facilitation, research and training within social care and substance use treatment.

Stilling og arbejdsplads:

Chefkonsulent, Antropolog, Metodecentret – Center for Innovation og Metodeudvikling, Aarhus

Uddannelsesbaggrund:

Cand.Phil. Etnografi og Socialantropologi
